This week I received an amazing parcel from Travelers Times and I could not contain my excitement to find one of their beautiful leather Travelers Notebook and extras.

Many of us on social media make friends; but occasionally you make a friend that feels like you've known them for years. The lovely Keeley who owns Travelers Times on Etsy has no idea that Im making this post; as this was sent as a gift from a friend out of the kindness of her own heart.

However I just had to share with you guys this stunning hand-made leather travelers notebook as it was too beautiful to keep to myself.
 If you love your planners you will appreciate how special a gift like this is.
Ive added a video too as its so much easier to chat to you guys about it as I show you at the same-time.

This is my very 1st leather Travelers Notebook and I just cant contain myself with excitement. I was genuinely overwhelmed to receive such a wonderful gift.

Packaging

Well if any company deserves a mention about their packaging its Travelers Times.  Just look at the beautiful brown paper and craft string wrapped just as my Mum used to wrap her gifts to people back in the day.

 The next layer is in white tissue paper. 

All Keeley's parcels come with both these beautiful vintage camera stickers and the craft tags with string...love these so much, Im keeping these to add to my journal!

 Inside the little envelope was 2 gorgeous washi-tapes and a little packet of fun paper clips. Im new to planner arty stuff but I had been dabbling with collecting washi-tapes to decorate my refills; so Im so excited to now have these 2 in my collection. 

Oh wow......I love all of these so much...the little dog is so cute she knows me so well; as we both have dogs. Plus I adore these hedgehogs...as I have 2 of these from her I bought last time and use them daily! Also the Kate spade type bow Ive wanted one of these for sooo long.

Description

Let me show you round it...
Travelers Times use the finest grade leather, which is then hand dyed bringing out all the lines and features making each one unique. Keeley also puts a protective layer over the leather for added protection so I can happily take it out and about with me.
This amazing rich pinky-red leather is called Cranberry; the image above shows this almost perfectly, I absolutely love this colour.

The leather is soft to touch but sturdy enough to hold all my notebooks and perfect for those of you that like to roll your travelers notebooks....eeep...I just couldn't do that its beautiful as it is!

A perfect charm for me I absolutely adore this little camera.

Inside was 2 of my favorite Journal inserts of
"A day on 2 pages" and 1 blank notebook as she knew I was thinking of starting to art journaling...soo...soo happy!

The 1 day on 2 pages is undated and you have the option to use the extra page as overflow (like me) or just add notes; it just perfect for how I write.

Im already a huge fan of Travelers Times refills and I made a large order a few weeks ago. I love the 90gram heavier paper which doesn't bleed through with any of my fountain pen inks Ive used so far. Parker Quink ink, Kaweko and diamine inks.

This beautiful notebook has 4 elastics which Im super excited about as I dont have to piggyback if I dont want to; saying that I probably will as now I can get that gorgeous stuffed look Ive always wanted lol!

I had recently treated myself to Cult Pens limited addition Kaweko Sport Skyline in Metallic Purple; they are a PERFECT match; what do you think?

The beautiful riveted penloop holds my little Kaweco perfectly.

Im honestly so excited to be now journaling in such a stunning looking notebook and Ive been using this notebook everyday since it arrived. I cant stop petting the beautifully soft leather as it feels so luxurious every-time I use it.

I love it!

For me the fact its been hand-made with the extra aspects making it personal to me is super special!
This beautiful notebook really has a wonderful olde world charm!

If you want to get a special gift for some one in your life; I would 100% suggest a Travelers notebook personalized to that person especially if you know they love to journal and plan.

As much as I still adore my Happy Planner, Websters colour crush and my Carpe Diem planners; its the Travelers notebook for me. Its taken me a while to find what works for me and this certainly is it.

As you guys will know if you've been following me, I have gone a bit planner review crazy...it must be the weather ;-)

It started with my MAMBI Happy Planner, then my Websters Colour Crush personal planner, then lastly my GORGEOUS fauxdori's from Lyra & Co.

I have now fallen head over heels in love with my Fauxdori's and the travelers style notebooks. They feel more me to use for journaling.

I was looking for different planner inserts for my new Fauxdori travelers notebooks which led me straight to Travelers Times on Etsy.

Where I discovered some beautiful handmade extra inserts; so I thought Id share with you guys incase your looking for inserts for your notebooks too. 

Im not going to make this a long review as my video review shows everything you need to know.

Packaging

You will see on my video my genuine surprise to find such gorgeous packaging inside a super padded envelope. This is why I love Etsy companies as they often go that extra mile in packaging which as you know means alot to me.

I believe if the packaging is good then the work has gone into the product inside will be excellent.

Wrapped carefully in white opaque tissue paper.

Sealed with their logo of a gorgeous old camera sticker. Its as if they know me as I collect old cameras like this...drool.

Then inside jute string is neatly tied around the whole order.

 I love the attention to detail, it makes a simple notebook feel extra special.

I love the matching label of their logo of the old camera on the matching paper, as an old camera collector myself I really appreciate this.

So now you can carry on reading my quick overview and photos or grab a coffee and bikky and listen to my chatty video review.

Description 

I ordered three booklet inserts which are handmade by Keeley herself; 90grms paper with 30 pages in each with a final cover of "craft paper"; I think this is what its called and it feels super old fashioned almost like this has been handmade too.

Travelers Times are makers of leather travelers notebooks and accessories. Each and every one of our Leather Travelers Notebooks is cut using the finest Grade A leather. 

 What brought me to Travelers Times was the "Books to Read" notebook insert.

 I have over 100 books on my Books to read list; which is spread across my desk on different bits of paper. As you may know I review books too so when I saw this book I had to have it....

...as I also now have a purpose for my beautiful teal "Foxidori"...yay she has a purpose not just to look pretty and make me feel guilty for buying two Fauxdori covers just because I loved the fabric designs lol.

Inside you have the columns which are exactly what I need for my book reviews so when I saw this book I just had to have it and the bright white paper has a lovely smoothness and gorgeous quality to it.

 I could have hand drawn this out onto paper and hole punched it into my Websters planner (as this is the one Im using for Gadget Girl stuff); but its not the same is it. These refills are absolutely perfect for what I need.

The other 2 notebook inserts are lined.

All 3 notebooks feel excellent quality and have a lovely weight in your hands. 

 The plain crafty cover makes a lovely base for paint, pen or washi tape to design on it.

Three refills fill up my Lyradori beautifully and they actually have a lovely weighty feel to them in your hand.

So have I reached planner peace yet...well almost...Im so happy with these and very comfortable with the feel and look of the travelers notebook and it feels perfect writing in them with my new Fishers Spacepen (review coming soon) and my fpuntain pens. The paper feels amazing...but I now have a lusting for a real leather Fauxdori next as they do look amazing and I love
"The old worlde charm" leather Fauxdori's seems to have....sigh its never ending!

I will definitely be ordering from Travelers Times again.

They are super affordable, made up by hand, posted quickly and of course look fantastic in your Fauxdori.

As you guys may have seen from my recent planner reviews I'm really into my journaling again after literally years. Life throws stuff at you and you realize its rushed past so fast you've missed the little things and with my Mum passing away a few months ago it made me realize how much I have missed.

So after watching many of you guys' planner videos I discovered Midori's or Fauxdori's; hand made travelers notebooks and covers to make your journaling more personalized and fun.

It was after watching one of Anna Brimbles videos I discovered Lyra & Co on Etsy and her handmade fabric notebook covers. I knew I just had to get one and 2 designs in particular just sang out to me along with some notebooks to match.

They arrived quickly and in the well padded packet and inside wrapped carefully.

Foxes, foxes...being a wildlife and animal lover these were just perfect for me.
Wow...dont they look just gorgeous I am just in love with these super cute foxy fabric designs. I chose the regular travelers notebook size but there are other sizes available.

They are both stunning front and back and camping fox has so much going on.

 Foxy lady is so beautiful in her teal/mint background; she has a 1940's feel to her with her bow, scarf and pearls and horn rimmed specs and those gorgeous eyes.

 I cannot express how much Im in love with this gorgeous fabric, its so me; I love the outdoors, I also love the night sky and being in the countryside. Plus this little fox obviously has a cheeky side to him. 

Whats not to love!!

 Inside Camping fox is a gorgeous salmon-orange coloured fabric with a matching salmon pen-loop. Then it has 2 contrasting turquoise elastics that will hold upto six 8.5 x 4.5 inch notebooks.

Inside Foxy lady is a beautiful pink fabric with matching pink elastics, so you can choose your inner notebooks to match or contrast whatever you want to.

Love the matching elastic pen-loops too.

I adore the choice of inner fabrics they work beautifully with each of the outer covers.

Just as an extra note you can add a pocket to your fauxdori if you wish for ONLY £3 which is definitely worth it.

 These elastics are secured by gold coloured eyelets.

This will prevent any fraying or the elastic rubbing with constant use.

 They even look colorful and bright laid on their side.

Plus looking good too if you wanted to stand them upright in a library or shelf.

I also purchased some Regular sized notebooks to fit inside and of course chose the teal coloured foxes.

Love Lyra & Co's logo...being a calligraphy nut I really appreciate the little things.

 Inside you get 2 blank notebooks made-up by Jane herself; I love handmade products as they have such a lovely personal edge to them. In this pack you get 2 different designs. 

The front covers have a lovely textured fabricky feel to them. Inside you have 20 blank leaves = 40 pages which are staple-bound and have a paper weight of 80gsm.
(excellent quality by the way).
These will fit any Regular/travelers size notebook cover.

 I have to say...what a PERFECT colour match...wow..they look gorgeous together.

 These match the inner camping fox cover better than the foxy lady as she has a pinky inner. So where I was actually thinking of putting them into the lady-lady cover; her pinky inner fabric would contrast too much for me...some of you may like the contrast...but for me the salmon of the camping fox fabric looks just perfect....what do you think?

 They look great inside and just having the 2 notebooks fills it up comfortably; there's nothing like having a fat Fauxdori which is so satisfying...or is that just me lol!

 So I will be journaling in the camping fox as its design shows night-time stars and moon and I like to write at night and I will be keeping my book review lists in Foxy-lady.
I will also be enjoying using my calligraphy again and writing with my fountain or dip pens as I had forgotten just how much I love my calligraphy and hadn't picked up my pens and nibs for many years, it feel really refreshing to just pick them up again; like a best friend come home.

 Many of my nibs were my Grandad's and over the years I have collected over 50 more different pen nibs and quite a few fountain-pens. I discovered I love working with ink and dip pens...you can see them above; its such a relaxing hobby and fun too.

I cant wait to start I may even try some ink art too...we will see. I absolutely love my 2 new LyraDori's as they are excellent quality, beautifully made and are flexible and soft in your hand. 

I cannot recommend Jane enough; she uploads new designs every week....noooo....and you also have an option for an extra inner pocket added to your fauxdori for even more momentos. 

Please go checkout Jane's site on Etsy Lyra & Co its an official warning that you could get addicted to collecting her stunning designs. Ive already spotted a few more I like too...eeep..

This stunning elegant design has a snap fastener rather than elastic giving a really gorgeous alternative.

Im such a geek as I love this Wonder woman this so different for a Fauxdori. Plus the darker fabric flowers and birds are just stunning.
